New Fleet Manager app opens up Trakm8 Prime to larger fleets

Trakm8 has launched a new Fleet Manager app to facilitate the growing numbers of larger fleets looking to use its Trakm8 Prime plug-and-play solution.

Trakm8 Prime has launched a new Fleet Manager app to support larger customers as well as SMEs

Launched just over a year ago, Trakm8 Prime was initially aimed at tradespeople and SMEs looking for a plug and play tracking solution with fully online ordering and no installation/removal fees. It was augmented last spring with the option of dashcam functionality while earlier this month, Trakm8 introduced new lower pricing and rolling 30-day contracts.

However, since the launch of the solution, Trakm8 said it’s also experienced demand from larger fleets of up to 150 vehicles, creating the need for a Fleet Manager app.

Nickie Hunt-Mason, director of direct sales, fleet and optimisation at Trakm8, said: “Our fully online approach was originally designed to bring the benefits of telematics technology to small businesses. We have since found that Trakm8 Prime is just as attractive to larger companies who appreciate the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of our plug-and-play solution.

“The Fleet Manager app is designed for the busy professional on the go, whether that is an HR manager looking after a handful of company vehicles; a director or owner-manager who is frequently out of the office; or a fleet or transport manager. It is also ideal for the short-term hire market, as the devices can quickly and easily be switched between vehicles.”

Available for free on the App Store and Google Play, the app has a large range of features to assist fleet operators. In contrast to Trakm8’s Driver app, which only allows drivers to obtain their personal data, the Fleet Manager app enables users to view data on all drivers and vehicles, helped by search terms and filters to show data for different vehicle types, vehicle functionalities and even drivers from specific teams.

Hunt-Mason added: “For our smaller customers such as electrical contractors, builders and cleaning companies, most managers still play an integral role in the day-to-day work of the business out in the field and require a mobile app to gain their insights on the move. The new app therefore suits the requirements of all of our customers – regardless of fleet size.”
