The new Isuzu D-Max Electric Vehicle has demonstrated its work-ready toughness coupled with zero emission performance at the inaugural VoltWorx26 event.

The event, held late July, was organised jointly by Isuzu dealer Crawfords Group in Chelmsford and Plumpton College in East Sussex. More than 150 delegates across the amenity, ground care and fleet industries to explore more sustainable ways of working.

The first European production electric pickup to offer over a one-tonne payload as well as permanent four-wheel drive and 3.5-tonne towing capacity, the Isuzu D-Max EVs was showcased at the event.

Delegates benefited from test drives with Crawfords Group Isuzu, West Sussex, and took the opportunity to discuss features such as lower running costs, ecologically considerate and quiet performance, and the tax efficiencies of an electric pickup, including lower Benefit-in-Kind company car tax.

Panel discussions and breakout sessions explored industry perspectives on sustainability and the adoption of electrified vehicles and machinery. Topics included charging infrastructure, total cost of ownership, workforce skills and the practical implementation of new technology.
