Nexus Rental has launched its rental management platform Iris into the Republic of Ireland, marking its first-ever expansion outside the UK.

This strategic move establishes a foundation for the B2B vehicle and plant hire specialist’s planned growth into broader European markets.

Scott Haddow, chief executive officer at Nexus Rental, said: “It’s a move we’ve taken carefully and deliberately, built on a strong platform, trusted customer relationships, and a clear understanding of where we can add real value.”

The new service will add significant numbers to the Nexus supplier network, allowing the business to continue to scale. This brings the total number of vehicles in the overall network across the UK and the Republic of Ireland to over 585,000.

The geographic expansion builds on Nexus’ recent growth momentum. Following a comprehensive rebrand to highlight the strategic value of fleet rental, the company has heavily invested in its core technology and opened a second corporate hub in Yorkshire. This strong foundation enabled Nexus to achieve record-breaking numbers of vehicles on rent across two consecutive peak seasons.

Haddow picked up: “This progress is the result of sustained hard work across the company, from product and technology to operations, commercial and finance, as well as the strength of our supplier partnerships.

“We’re excited to bring our tech-led, people-focused approach to Irish businesses, and to support them with the same reliability and service standards our UK customers expect.”

The version of Iris available in the Republic of Ireland has been developed to fit the needs and challenges of the Irish rental market. Further details outlining the platform’s specific features and capabilities will be released in the coming weeks.
