Nissan announces pricing & specs for e-NV200 electric van

Nissan has announced that its new e-NV200 van will go available from July priced from £13,393 for a flexible battery leasing option.

Based on the NV200 – voted International Van of the Year 2010 – and using a similar drivetrain to the LEAF, the e-NV200 is offered in both panel van and five-seat combi form with two trim levels and is said to deliver exceptional running cost savings over a conventional diesel van.

According to Nissan, the e-NV200 offers class-leading running costs of 2p per mile along with reduced maintenance costs based on servicing, parts and wear and tear. In addition, those that opt for the all-electric e-NV200 will pay no road tax and will be exempt from the London Congestion Charge.

Under the pricing options, customers can either choose to buy e-NV200 outright or opt for the “Flex” battery leasing option that reduces the initial purchase price. Both options qualify for the Government grant – up to £8,000 Plug In Van Grant (PiVG) for the panel van, and up to £5,000 Plug In Car Grant (PiCG) for the five-seater combi.

In entry-level Acenta trim, this means that the e-NV200 van can be purchased outright for just £16,562.20 while the similarly specced combi is priced at £22,859.

Meanwhile, for those choosing the Flex option, with monthly battery rental starting from £61 per month, the initial outlay (incorporating PiVG/PiCG) on the same Acenta level van and combi is £13,393 and £17,855 respectively.

Entry-level equipment for the van includes a full metal partition with window, two-speaker CD/FM audio system with MP3/iPod compatibility, rear view camera, front power windows, two side sliding doors and French back doors with panel. There is also an Acenta Rapid model offering rapid charging and an Acenta Rapid Plus with fast Charging (6.6kW on-board).

Moving up to the Tekna Rapid trim adds in cruise control, a safety pack, full airbag pack and multifunctional steering wheel among other features and there’s also a Tekna Rapid Plus model with fast charging.

For the Combi, the Acenta entry-level trim includes cruise control, driver adjustable speed limiter, two speaker CD/FM audio system with MP3/iPod compatibility, rear view camera, air conditioning and TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system) along with two side sliding doors, back door with tailgate, and second row bench with folding feature. There’s also an Acenta Rapid Plus with both rapid charging and fast charging.

The Tekna Rapid builds on this with features including cruise control, safety pack, French back doors with panel, multifunctional steering wheel and 15-inch alloys. There’s also a Tekna Rapid Plus model offering fast charging.
