Opportunity to engage with traffic commissioners at FTA conferences

Fleet operators attending this year’s FTA Transport Manager conferences will be able to share their concerns about the industry with their local traffic commissioner.

Attendees at conference
The 10 FTA Transport Manager conferences will be held nationwide.

The nationwide series of 10 conferences, which take place this autumn, will be attended by senior traffic commissioner Richard Turfitt and his colleagues, enabling operators to understand the regulator’s perspective.

Turfitt said: “The role of transport manager, whether statutory or voluntary, is key to most operators managing their safety and compliance. Traffic Commissioners recognise the value of operators and transport managers who want to get things right.

“These events offer a valuable opportunity to ensure that safety management is effective and up to date, which is why Traffic Commissioners are delighted to again be part of the FTA’s Transport Manager series. It also allows opportunity for us to engage with local operators and to hear about the key issues affecting their businesses.”

The conference series will include a number of other key industry speakers and experts, covering issues including vehicle camera technology, legislation changes and other compliancy issues.
