Van Guard rebrands as Bott as integration enters its next chapter

Van Guard Accessories is officially rebranding as Bott, marking the next major milestone following its acquisition in March 2025.

The transition brings two of the most established names in the commercial vehicle industry together under a single, unified brand. By combining Van Guard’s expertise in roof racks and security products with Bott’s vehicle conversion and storage solutions, the company now offers a complete, one-stop-shop commercial vehicle solution.

Nick Smith, CEO at Bott UK, said: “This is the natural next step in bringing together two highly complementary businesses. Over the past 17 months we’ve combined our expertise, our people and our capabilities, enabling us to offer customers a more complete commercial vehicle solution than ever before.

“Customers can now source more of their vehicle requirements from one supplier, simplifying procurement while benefiting from the engineering excellence and customer service both businesses are known for.”

Customers will begin to see the familiar Van Guard black and yellow branding transition to the Bott Group’s signature green as part of a phased rollout. Van Guard-branded products will remain available throughout 2026, with product branding and packaging transitioning to Bott during 2027, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for customers and distribution partners.

While the name is changing, customers will continue to work with the same trusted teams and benefit from the high-quality products, technical knowledge and customer support that have made Van Guard one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of commercial vehicle roof storage, ladder handling, vehicle access and security solutions.

The addition of Van Guard’s vehicle security range has also strengthened the combined offering, enabling Bott to provide complete vehicle security solutions alongside its established conversion and storage systems.

Ashley Rote, finance director, said: “This is much more than a change of name. It reflects the successful integration of two like-minded businesses and our shared ambition for the future.

“Customers will continue to receive the same high levels of service and expertise, while benefiting from a broader product portfolio, increased investment in innovation and a more complete commercial vehicle offering.”

The brand transition also supports future growth, with increased investment in product development and an expanded innovation programme. Customers can expect refreshed product ranges and new additions throughout 2027 as the combined business continues to evolve its offering.

The unified Bott brand will be showcased at IAA Transportation in Hanover later this month, where visitors will be able to see the expanded commercial vehicle portfolio.
