Wren Kitchens and Bedrooms is rolling out 70 new Isuzu 7.5-tonne trucks in a landmark deal set to boost the company’s UK delivery capacity by 20%.

The first 20 N75.190(E) trucks are already in operation, equipped with demountable box bodies for efficient multi-drop deliveries to maximise payload capacity.

The major new order supports continued sales growth across Wren and marks the company’s largest single procurement of 7.5-tonne rigids from Isuzu Truck UK since the two businesses began working together nearly a decade ago.

These latest additions join a 410-strong commercial fleet, with 125 of the company’s 7.5-tonners supplied by Isuzu Truck UK.

The specialist demountable bodies, designed by Wheelbase Engineering, have been purpose-built for multi-drop home deliveries. Each features ancillary lockers for the storage and transportation of home protection kits and safety equipment, as well as a designated water-tight compartment for a fire extinguisher, all of which were previously stored in the cab. The updated build improves operational efficiency, accessibility, safety and driver comfort.

Carrying out deliveries across the UK, the 7.5-tonners will be on the road up to six days per week and are expected to travel 75,000 miles annually. They will remain in the fleet for five years, in line with the company’s vehicle replacement policy.

All 70 of the new trucks will be supplied on a five-year full repair and maintenance contract, with all work carried out by Isuzu Truck UK’s dealer network. Wren will also benefit from the manufacturer’s standard three-year unlimited-mileage warranty on each of the chassis cabs. Furthermore, a dedicated representative from the Customer Care Team will also be on hand to provide ongoing support.
