Alltruck consolidates Loughborough operations into expanded Nottingham ‘super site’

Commercial vehicle contract hire and rental business Alltruck has closed its Loughborough operation as part of plans to create a ‘super site’ at its Nottingham location, on the Colwick Industrial Estate.

Maintenance services will now be consolidated into the company’s Nottingham operation, while bodybuilding is being outsourced to a trusted supply network.

Established in 1990, Alltruck and its 150 employees supply, manage and maintain some 2000 commercial vehicles for its customer-base throughout the UK. With locations throughout the East Midlands, and an administrative head office in Leicester, the Loughborough depot has been part of the organisation’s infrastructure since 2007, primarily providing truck maintenance and bodybuilding services.

Josh Robinson, managing director, commented: “Since opening our Colwick site in 2011 we have invested a lot of resources into the facilities there, transforming it into the premium commercial vehicle depot that it is today. By consolidating our Loughborough operations into Nottingham, it will truly become a super site, offering our customers truck rental, workshop services and used truck sales all under one roof, as well as our core services of dedicated distribution services, contract hire and fleet management.”

He added: “The result will be more streamlined operations across our entire team – increasing efficiencies, strengthening communication both internally and externally, and ultimately improving the service we provide to our customers as we continue to set the standard for customer service within our industry.”

Robinson noted that Alltruck supported all affected staff and offered alternative roles to everyone who wanted to remain.

“We are pleased to confirm that all employees who chose to remain with the business have transitioned or will be transitioning into new roles or locations within our Nottingham operation, at our Head Office in Croft, or across our trusted bodybuilding supply network.”
