Brake is hosting a free webinar outlining how to keep at-work drivers safe as part of Road Safety Week 2026.
Taking place on Wednesday 18 November from 10:00 to 11:30am, the 90-minute session will explore risks associated with driving for work, focusing on speed, distraction and fatigue.
Aimed at employers, managers and organisations that manage people who drive for business, the Safe People on the Move at Work webinar will cover the policies, technology and decisions that contribute to minimising those risks.
The webinar will outline practical, take-home tips that will help ensure drivers are as safe as possible on every journey they make.
Subjects under focus include how driving styles affect crash risks, highlighting the powerful impact of individual choices behind the wheel. The event will also demonstrate how modern vehicle technology can actively address risky driving behaviours, while examining the critical dangers of fatigue, impairment, and distraction to help organisations build a culture that champions safety and driver wellbeing.
Ross Moorlock, CEO of Brake, spotlighted that driving is probably the most dangerous thing that employees do in their jobs, with latest statistics showing that almost a third of deaths on the UK’s roads involve someone driving for work.
“As an employer, it is your duty to keep at-work drivers safe, making sure everyone who gets behind the wheel for work can also get home safely at the end of the day. You have the power to make a real difference, and joining our webinar can help you take positive action.”
The webinar, which is open for registrations here, forms part of Road Safety Week. Brake’s national campaign runs every November to raise awareness of the impact of road death and injury and call for key measures to make roads safer.
Taking place from 15-21 November 2026, this year’s Road Safety Week centres around the theme of Safe People on the Move and will explore a shared approach to prevent death and serious injury from road crashes. To find out more and to sign up for Road Safety Week, click here.
