Snack wholesaler Templeman Retailing & Vending has strengthened its nationwide logistics offering with the addition of 21 new MAN TGE vans.

The prominent Northumberland family business has added the new vehicles to its existing 73-strong fleet, which includes 29 instantly identifiable MAN trucks.

Templeman Retail & Vending delivers thousands of product lines to wholesalers, vending operators, foodservice and retail groups. The company is renowned for its speed, efficiency and condition-perfect deliveries.

The new vehicles, which are all long-wheelbase TGE 3.140 Lion XS panel vans, are finished in gloss black paint and feature a vibrant livery showcasing some of the instantly recognisable products that the company delivers to customers.

Karl Templeman, service director at Templeman Retailing & Vending, said: “Apart from looking amazing in their standout liveries, these new TGEs have been incredibly well received by the drivers, who openly praise the high levels of comfort, fit and finish. This is particularly important to our business, as our vehicles cover high mileage and we need to ensure we provide our drivers with a safe, comfortable and secure working environment.

“Although the vehicles are still new and bedding in, they are already delivering impressive fuel returns which, given the uncertainty of fuel prices in today’s market, is a real relief,” he added.

All 21 new vehicles are front-wheel-drive panel vans, powered by 140hp 2.0-litre Euro 6 four-cylinder turbo diesel engines, paired with six-speed manual gearboxes.

The vehicles have been outfitted to ensure Templeman Retail & Vending drivers are comfortable, safe and at ease while on the road during their working day. Onboard technology includes digital instrument cluster, rear-view camera, climate-controlled air conditioning, electrically heated/foldable/adjustable mirrors, plus the MAN Media Van built-in central touchscreen infotainment and control system with a 10.4-inch touchscreen and multifunction steering wheel.

Other features deliver electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, keyless start, fatigue detection, traffic sign information, intelligent speed assist, cruise control, emergency brake assist, active lane guard system, tyre pressure monitoring system, parking assist and interior racking. In addition, each vehicle has been fitted with a tracking device and a category 5 immobiliser.
