Europcar UK has added 170 new Volkswagen Crafter panel vans to its commercial fleet.
Launched earlier this year and named Best New Van in the 2017 Van Fleet World Honours, the new Crafter (see road test here) is available for the first time with front, rear and all-wheel drive and offers three wheelbases and three panel van roof heights, along with single and double cab chassis models. It also offers a new 2.0-litre TDI engine, developed specifically for commercial vehicles and available with four power outputs.
Available across the UK, the Europcar Crafters have all been specified with the 140hp engines and front-wheel drive, and cover both the medium and long wheelbases formats.
Michael Cutts, national rental manager for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “We’re delighted for Europcar to be the one of the first rental companies in the UK to adopt the Crafter onto their fleet in significant numbers. A highly flexible vehicle, designed for the demanding conditions of urban traffic, we believe the Crafter will make an important addition to the fleet.”
