Fleet World has officially launched its 2026 EV Fleet Survey, calling on fleet operators across the UK to share their operational electrification plans.

Sponsored by Audi, Geotab and JATO, the annual study maps out the current state of corporate vehicle electrification, exploring how UK businesses are adjusting procurement and managing charging infrastructure under evolving regulatory pressures.

The survey will only take a few minutes to complete and all participants will automatically be entered into a FREE prize draw for a chance to win a two-night stay plus breakfast for two people at the Mariners Hotel, located in Lyme Regis, Dorset.

Results will be revealed in the November/December 2026 issue of Fleet World as part of the ‘Future of Fleet’ feature. This special edition will explore current EV trends and driver motivations, while highlighting the key challenges and friction points of the ongoing electrification journey.

Data gathered from the study will also be used to provide the fleet sector with benchmarking tools, actionable strategies and peer insights.

The survey launches as the UK’s fleet EV transition enters a challenging ‘second wave’, moving past early-adopter hype into mainstream operational realities. In particular, commercial van fleets are dealing with the real ‘hard yards’ of electrification.

These challenges are intensified by strict regulatory frameworks. The Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate – currently the subject of an official review – is radically reshaping UK fleet operations by causing supply distortions, increasing costs and creating a widening ‘adoption gap’, particularly for commercial van fleets

Compounding this EV transition is the introduction of the Electric Vehicle Excise Duty (eVED), a pay-per-mile road tax launching in April 2028 for fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars.

The survey is open to all UK fleet operators, managers and corporate decision-makers. The closing deadline is 31 October 2026.
